in early Jan 07 I discovered some smale Corys from my LFS. Coming in, I was invited to look at some bags that just came in. It was from the importer Ruinemans, Netherlands. The bags were labeled as "C.melanistus breviostris", the Corys were about 2 to 2,5cm small.
In other bags where "C.melanistus melanistus"...problably these shared more the typical breviotrios-typ.
Some of the had elangated fins, escp. dorsal fin and in some individuals the pelvic fins.
I could get about 12 individuals direct througout the bags.
Now they rose up....and the questuion is: who am I ?
Here some pictures from thes corys. It's a relativ compact Cory. The are now about 5 to 5,5cm long (TL). the peppered pattern (small spots) on the body is a little arranged on lines (like e.g. C.schwartzi but less pronounced), they have an elangates dorsal fin, first ray is more dark gray than black, it is about half black and half translucient with dark dots in it. Also some dots on adipose fin. Dots on caudal fin in about 5 (to 6) vertical bands.

also the females show the long dorsal fin:

They have a long dark blotch on their shoulder, from flashlight a little "unclear", it extends relatively deep down, ending something to middle of the gills.
Head / Skin is very dark, but not black.

So what is it ? Could ist be C154 a recently published ba DATZ ? http://www.datz.de/HEIZ2DH6kC1YmBWNBGIExAXImAE++.HTML
Or just "very nice" C.brevirostris ?
Thanks for reply.
