Hey guys...found heaps of eggs (i'd say around 50) on the tank wall. They'd been laid in the typical cory manner (ie: eggs laid directly infront of a strong water current)..
I'm just wondering whose eggs they are, coz in my tank, i've got a pair of hoplos (they're only about 5cm long), 4 Scleromystax barbatus (they're only about 4cm), and 1 female aspidoras tauros. I don't think its the hoplos coz they're a bubblenest builder from what i can remember..
I suspect its the female aspidoras, but can female aspies/cories lay eggs without a male partner?
Anyway, i've separated the eggs from the main tank using a fishing net suspended just slightly below the water surface, so that the eggs will be in the same water, and also kept in an area with high water circulation.
Any thoughts on who the mystery culprit might be is highly appreciated:)
Cheers
