Difference between Corydoras and Aspidoras?
Just curious - are there any characters which separate the genera Aspidoras and Corydoras?
I've been told there's nothing which separates Brochis from Corydoras except tradition, and that Brochis really are just big Corydoras - is it the same situation with Aspidoras?

have more dorsal fin rays that however, if one takes the point of view you express, then it is not a big leap at all to think that all could be split out into about 8 genera and none would be much more different from each other than is from right now.Mike_Noren wrote:I've been told there's nothing which separates Brochis from Corydoras except tradition, and that Brochis really are just big Corydoras
Take for example the resurrection of Microcorydoras to house and all the other small, bullet nosed species. That wouldn't be much further away from than .
