I would recommend not having any water there tho', as that would badly affect the finish...

It's plastic, so no harm done if there is water (believe me, I tried).

What are the required water quality parameters for keeping a plastic fish? (Montana humor)

They are tolerant of a wide range of conditions, however I suspect they may secrete toxins as a defensive measure against biological organisms.

:D

Nice find, were there any other catfish (or even non-catfish) from the same source?

That said, there are also machines that dispense capsules with such figurines available locally. One such machine dispenses capsules with fish figurines that includes, among others, one of Hypancistrus zebra. I know where the machine is, but I have yet to go down to try my luck (my wife thinks that to do so is utterly puerile).

Did check on eBay; unfortunately I forgot the "company" that was selling these guys, as well as a ton of terrestrial animals. Would you happen to know it, or better search criteria other than "toy plastic catfish" which, for some reason, turned up some professional sports player toys?
