Hello from another new member

HiYa

I have been keeping fish for 30 years, although only fancy goldfish for the last 10. I bought a small tropical tank at the beginning of this year, thinking a nice little tropical tank of easy to care for fish would be lovely... I have now decided that it is far too small, so I am currently setting up a new bigger tank. (Bug has got hold of me again! )

I bought 5 little cory concolors last week and they are lovely. I used to keep Bronze, Albino and Pepper corries before, but couldn't resist the little concolors. Never seen them before.

Lovely to meet you all. Sandra

Welcome to Planet Catfish.

Cory Concolor is not the most common by any means - I certainly like them too - but I've only ever seen the ones that Dave Rinaldo has (aside from pictures in books and such).

Hello and welcome to Planet Catfish :)

are one of my favourite corys, I used to have a small group of them but I needed to make more room so I found a nice new home for them - an 11' heavily planted discus tank! I visited it today and saw one of the big ones sitting up the front, it looks very happy in there but I do miss them.

(don't worry, despite being for discus the temp in this tank is not too high, never above 28C)

Welcome to Planet catfish

C.Concolor is one of the nicer cories in my opinion - a really rewarding species, & as Mats stated is not often available

Thank you for your welcomes. :D

I am totally wrapped in these little guys and I can't understand why they aren't more widely available in the UK. :? (Not that I realised that when I bought them).

I have never had more than 2 corries at one time before, and I love the way the five little ones I have trundle around together.

Hopefully they will grow up to be big and happy like the ones you had Snowball, but mine will never have the comfort of an 11' tank! :)
