Bristlenose / Ancistrus sp. ? Young 1 inch light in colour.

Post by norms »

Can anyone confirm this is a Ancistrus sp. ? There is a pic in the Ancistrus sp. section that looks similar. I have 2 of these and they are almost identical.

My previous bristlenose plecs were much darker in colour at this size. Just hoping I have been sold the right ones, any help much appreciated :)

Thanks Shane :)

Here is a pic of the other one. Been reading a bit on these and mine sound like they may be female from the lack of bristles, you think this is true or are they too young to tell?

It's hard to say from those photos what size the fish are, but if they are smaller than about 5cm, then they are too small to say for sure.
