My S. decorus...looking fatter!

Post by Seedy »

Here are some new shots of My . I've opened up his tank to give more swimming area and have been concentrating on ensuring he gets enough food.

Ok...well, since there was no comments, I'm hoping it not because there is something unhealthy with my fish...or that it was suspected to be a hybrid or somehting along those lines and no one wants to "break it to me"...

Anyway...The wife and I were given a new tank this weekend that is a little larger than the one he is currently in. This should buy us a little more time before he requires that "big six footer".

I know that this Syno is not a Tanganyikan species, but I've got him acclimated up to ~9pH and he seems to do OK, so I'm going to keep him in with them for now.

Here's a sequence of build up shots on the tank...

No filtration or heat on it yet...just a powerhead to keep things stirred up.

Hi Seedy & Mrs,
Let me just say this is one very good looking and genuine S. decorus.

Thanks Marc. He spends most of his time out cruising the tank at night so he's hard to photograph...I kinda have to take what I can get (hence the thermometer and dirty glass in the pic!) :)

Dirty glass & a thermometer doesn't detract from the quality & health of the fish - surely thats what we're really concerned about.

Nice decorus!
