How to tell between african and asian upside-down cat?

Post by Jesterx626 »

When they're older I can easily tell, but I'm not so sure when they are really small. I'm talking about 2-3 inches. What do I look for to tell them apart?

I thought the colouration would easily give them away when young, but no, it doesn't.
So you'll have to check the barbels.
Africans have feathered or branched barbels, Asians don't.

That's indeed an even easier feature to tell them apart.
