Mystery black catfish

Post by djw66 »

Howdy all,
Friend of mine at another forum is looking for an ID of a black catfish with 'three glittery-gold thick lines' running vertically on the fish. Now I can ID most any catfish but that really doesn't ring a bell with me. Any ideas, folks?

Sounds like a bumblebee catfish. Perhaps or . More details will likely be necessary to make a solid ID.

Any chance of a photo? A picture paints a thousand words.......
