first reptile rescue

Post by Birger »

I have ended up with lots of fish and tanks over the years when people do not want them anymore but last night did my first reptile rescue, just couldn't not do it, luckily a friend is into snakes and I will quarantine them for him so he will not risk his others
This is what we think is a small Coastal Carpet Python...is alert and in good shape

And a Mexican Black King Snake...I am not really into snakes but this one is a beauty even though it is in very rough shape, I have my doubts it will make it,the pictures do not do its iridescence justice

I'm glad to see you rescued them. I think it is such a crime the way people treat animals. You're right it is very irradescent. Hope they both make it. :)

THe first one looks quite nice but the second doesn't do it for me - personally i'd be too worried about one of them turning out to be a deadly king-black-viper-mamba-cobra-adder-cottonmouth-boomslang-krait type of thing.

However if this sort of thing does appeal - the new David Attenborough series "life in cold blood" about reptiles & amphibians in on Monday nights at 9pm on BBC1 & is amazing
Lou: Every young man's fantasy is to have a three-way.
Jacob: Yeah not with another fu**!ng guy!
Lou: It's still a three-way!
