cory eggs and rearing

Post by danad »

one of my corys laid eggs on the side of the tank last night. what should i do, they are up high enough on the glass that i cannot make a partial water change? there are 2 small spotted, 2 large peppered and 1 albino corys sharing this tank with 2 mollies, 2 platys and a spotted pl*co. are the eggs/fry in danger of being eaten? i know what they say, but i wasn't prepared for this. any help would be appreciated.
thanks,
dan

I'd venture to say that yes, they will get eatin. The most likely culprit would be your pleco.

My guess is more of the mollies and platies esp if they are large enough in size...

Do remove the eggs ASAP and move it into another tank with the same water parameters...
