Leiarius longibarbis

Post by Silurus »

I stepped into an LFS about a week ago and found a tank full of juvenile for sale at S$10 [=US$7.40] apiece. Looks like someone is breeding them commercially and providing more ammunition for irresponsible fishkeepers.

less cool if you realize that these youngsters are probably doomed to be housed in a tank that's far too small for them! :(

It's not good that these giants are available so cheaply without any "regulation".

Nice as they are, i'll never have one, or a RTC or TSN, they're for public aquaria or the very few who possess monster tanks (& i'm NOT talking about what an awful lot of people consider a monster tank, ie a 6*2*2!!!!!)
Lou: Every young man's fantasy is to have a three-way.
Jacob: Yeah not with another fu**!ng guy!
Lou: It's still a three-way!

in my eyes, my biggest tank, 13 * 3 1/3 * 2 1/3 feet, is still far too small for this kind of monsters

in fact, I'd say, not suitable for any tank, only for a swimmingpool (not nescisarily of olympic size (these measure 50 meters :D ))
