Hello from Hull
Hi everyone, just a line to introduce myself and congratulate everyone on PlanetCatfish for such an informative and well laid out website.I have recently returned to fishkeeping and have just bought 2 Gold spot plecs from a local fish store, i was told they would grow to a maximum of 8 inches but after looking on various websites have been quoted anywhere between 10 and 16 inches!, after contacting my LFS i was told there are several types of Gold spots ( i was told mine were L01 or L22) and mine would only reach a maximum 8 inch. Are they correct about different Gold spots?
Once again, excellent website keep up the good work, people like me need it!
Cheers

KenG - welcome to Planet Catfish!
A "Gold spot pl*c" could be one of dozens of species - a pic (or several of various body parts of your fish) would allow some of the contributors on this site to give you a proper identification. Several are very similar indeed.
