Posting Fish in the UK

Has anyone done this? I have had some interest in the L340 but he too far away to collect, so wants to know if i'll consider posting. I just want to know what options i have - I guess it will have to go courier? I'm Redhill, Surrey and it has to go to Devon. If anyone has done this in the UK, please let me know what you had to do and what posting otions I have. any other help/advice gratefully received.

I once received some convict cichlids by post - they had spend 4 days in a cola bottle. 25 % survived, the rest died, I think due to carbon dioxid poisoning

these cichlids are quite hardy, so I would not recommend this system fore somewhat sensitive fishes

Yes, I'm not sure it's something I really want to even think about, but was just posing the question incase it was easier that I had expected.

Use a courier with a guaranteed next day service, soem offer a before 10 or before 12 service (anyone who has ordered bloodworm by mail order will know that the royal mail & parcelforce can be up to 4 days and that's not much use) and tell them what they are shipping. Send it on a Tuesday to miss the Monday rush while avoiding weekends if late.

Depending on what you are sending, avoid hot summer or cold winter periods. Mark on the box live fish, keep in shade, keep dry etc.
