Can i have another star please?
i'm sure it was pointed out that at 1,000 posts people became mega-posters & had a fifth star - in which case (being a little self-indulgent) i have a bit of "star-envy". (i'm over a 1,000 with only 4 stars)
On the other hand i do fell i have achieved something positive - not sure others would agree? (When i read this back it does seem a bit narcisistic!!! but it something i'd been looking forward to for a while now)

i don't feel bad at all really - i sort of set myself a target of getting to this "milestone" & was waiting to see a change on screen.

You are a star in our eyes no matter what...brightness comes from within...(hehe) is that corny or whati'm sure it was pointed out that at 1,000 posts people became mega-posters & had a fifth star - in which case (being a little self-indulgent) i have a bit of "star-envy". You could always go on a hunger protest until you get your star

Already counting that next one...you could start putting stick on stars on your computer monitorOnly another 990 approx & i'll be at 2,000
Just kidding Richard...I hope you know that...a thousand is a lot of posts and I think you have made a contribution especially in the African Forum

The threshold is 1024, not 1000.

Re: Can i have another star please?
What a funny topic.
I'm actually a bit self-conscious about the number of my posts because it represents to me that perhaps, I have to much time on my hands.
I know my activities are directly related to trying to learn as much as I can as fast as I can and also share what I have learned about catfish.
The catfish are after all, among the most interesting of all aquarium fishes and planetcatfish and it's members represents a wealth of knowledge and many members have become my friends that I would have never made had I not participated in the discussions.
While all that is true, it is also true I have a lot of time on my hands.

Apparently, you go starless if you donate money. [Or if you are a forum moderator].

Re: Can i have another star please?
Depends on your point of view. Even if I wasn't webmaster, I'd have a positive view of someone who's put their money up. Stars just mean you create a lot of replies. It is unintentional that they disappear BTW, I may get them back but it's complicated and what would you rather I spent my time doing? Getting the next phase of "My Aquaria" online, or getting some stars to appear...loachy_406 wrote:Not a great incentive to donate is it.
