U.K.-specific syno forum
I'm planning to start up a forum to keep tabs on shops, availability, prices, etc. for synos and other African cats in the U.K. and would like to hear from Planet Catfish users who might be interested in joining. I'm just starting to set it up, but when it's ready I'll pm everybody who has expressed an interest.

Maybe a silly question, but why not just start a "megathread" here? I mean like Marc's "What Auchenipterid..." topic?

Re: U.K.-specific syno forum
I didn't think of that. Actually it will be a bit more elaborate than that, with separate topics. The overlap with Planet Catfish will be minimal because the emphasis will be on shops. (No point in trying to re-invent the wheel).Jools wrote:Maybe a silly question, but why not just start a "megathread" here? I mean like Marc's "What Auchenipterid..." topic?

For the sort of think I have in mind, check out the recent 'Looking for Syno-Longirostris' thread.
Anyhow it will be set to go in a couple of days, so people can have a look and make suggestions.
No problems with non-U.K. residents joining (except for the French

Re: U.K.-specific syno forum
Perhaps you are right - most of the time. Should someone intend to go to the UK - matters might changeChrysichthys wrote:No problems with non-U.K. residents joining (except for the French--only joking!), but they might not find it very interesting.
also, a discussion about where to get what Syno will easily expand into - you can differentiate Syno x from y by such and such markings - again probably quite interesting indeed

Re: U.K.-specific syno forum
There will be space for photos etc. to broaden the appeal. It's nearly ready now, I just need to do the stickies for it and make some last-minute changes, when I find the time.
