red snails

my bristlenose catfish are spawning & i have a lot of red snails in the tank. is this a concern

If they can get into the spawning cave then they can be a problem, depending as well on what kind of snail they really are...red snail is not much to go on.
I have watched Ancistrus claro play goal keeper with half grown Pomacea bridgesii (mystery snails)head butting them and whacking them with it's tail to keep them out of it's cave, it is interesting to watch but I removed the snails because they definitely wanted to get in ..

it's probably the red version of the Ramshorn snail, Planorbis spp

these are harmless, even beneficial. Ramshorns don't eat eggs or fry.
I've succesfully bred several species of catfish by artificially raising fry from eggs

to avoid dead or unfertilised eggs from fungusing a whole batch and to clean up dead fry and food leftovers I always added 2 species of snails: Ramshorn and Trumpet.
they did a great job.

pondsnails however and the large Applesnails do eat eggs.

Thanks for the help with the snails, looking at the picture they are ramshorn snails. I wont worry about taking them out.
