I'm home, safe and sound. I had a great, fabulous time.

My first collecting trip ever. I never knew what I was missing. If anybody out there thinks you can't, you can. There is a way.

Andrew, there aren't enough words. It was fabulous to meet everybody and renew old acquaintences. :D

If you ever, ever get a chance to come to the next convention, come. It is unlike any other.
Amanda

(sorry Mats. I'm a bit loopy. I even previewed the post!!!! :screwy: )

Mats would be more understanding if he knew how much sleep everyone hadn't had in the last few days  . I had a fantastic time, as always! It was great to get to meet all of the people I hadn't had a chance to meet in person and even better to renew acquaintance with all of the ones I had.

I would like to add that my lungs are still sore from all the laughing Jools! I hope you're happy .

If you'd like to see pictures of the attendees, Li at monster aquaria network posted a thread on them already, here:

I know I have some pictures I'm going to work on pulling off the camera today. Even a shot or two of Jools in his lovely skir.... I mean kilt!

Isn't this the truth...like the Catfish we were there about, some of the more interesting behavior began after daylight hours.

Yes Barbie...does this not bring to mind a certain story we heard at about 4 in the morning and puts pictures into my mind I would rather not be there.....

I really enjoyed the weekend myself and it was worth going so many miles shoehorned into the seats of the plane

Thankyou Andrew and everyone else

Amanda good to see you made it home okay, I hope everyone else did as well

Some pictures! I think that might be an understatement to say the least. :)

Was an awesome weekend. Was nice meeting a lot of people, and of course all the fish talk over a couple, well a lot of beers.

I am thoroughly amazed at how folks can function on so little sleep. I thought I did well, for me. I think I set a record on Saturday. I'm still huffing and puffing, but getting back to normal.....whatever that is. Birger, you were up bright and early Sunday. You'd never know you were keeping pace with Jools until 5 am!

All anybody has to say is "Barbie and Julie's room near the pool" and I know what they mean now and forever. Our Lady of Perpetual Python. A Thing of beauty. :D

We'll get you over here, or we'll go to you one of these days, Mats. I owe you a pint or two.
