I've got 9 striped Hypancistrus. They are bought as l-333 and l-401 but i dont think they all are! There is probably some l-066 there too, and maby som other l-number?? Please help me identify them.

Looks like fish 1,3,4,6,7 and 9 are males, but its a bit hard to tell form that distance.
Perhaps you can take some photos from above, close up?
You have both sexes for sure!

Yes, there must be both males and females! Thanx Cristoffer, any thoughts on the numbers of the fish? L-66/333/401? They are not all the same and i need to figure out wich are wich so i dont mix them and homefully i will have atleast one breeding group.

Re: 9 striped Hypancsitrus
Hi,
in my opinion it is not possible to identify this fish. I see a typical l 66 (image 3 & 9), and a typical l 401 (image 5). The rest is something else. This situation leads to hybrids for sure.
Greetings Felix

Re: 9 striped Hypancsitrus
were they imported together? 2 and 5 appear to be 333, they rest, likely 66.

Thank you Jon,
Yes, 2 and 5 are bought as l-333 about a year ago and the rest is bought at one time and i think they are from the same import..
Nice, then i will put the group with l-066 in one tank and the 2 other in another.
The problem with the group of l-066 is that it is 2 females and 5 males.. How will that work? Lots of fighting between the males? if so, would 2+2 work better i should i limit the grop to 1+2?
