Agreed! We all take it for granted there'll be a new article to whet our appetities each month & seldom realise the effort someone has put in for all our benefit - well done to all!

....just need to finish mu one off that's been in the pipeline for ages  .....

Yes, the cotm contributors are all a great bunch and really help me spend what time I have on other parts of the site. Thank you all!

On a related note, you'll see that this month's one is late. My fault I'm afraid - was taking by surprise last weekend by my new son! Shane reckons he's going to produce one this weekend though. I also have a breeding article in the wings too.

Ugggh, I really let Jools (and PC) down. Our internet connection has been down for several days and is now intermitent at best. The good news is we are changing internet companies tomorrow. Ok, the actual good news is we split town and were in Durban for the last four days frolicking in the Indian Ocean. I'll be eating Tums anti-acids for the next week as I recover from a steady diet of curry, sun, and beer.

I'm sorry Shane, I just checked, there's absolutely no sympathy available for you! Jealousy, yes . I hope you're having a fantastic time!

Jools if you need any specific views of them for that Pseudacanthicus breeding article I would be happy to irritate my three for some pics. I'll even remember to put on the heavy gloves before I try to mess with them again this time!

Mochokiella.....a Golden Oldie!

nice article.
btw you can change the lifespan.....my friend took over my ancient Mochokiella's and 1 of that batch is still alive

those were kept by me until 2 years ago or so, they were bought as approximatelt 2 year old 5 cm TL specimen back in.............................1986!
wich makes them at least 23-24 years old now.

a month ago the same friend found the remains of the very last Synodontis nigriventris I gave him. i've kept those for years myself before switching to Tanganyika.
this particular Synodontis was bought by me as a 2-3 year old 6cm TL fishy back in 1984, wich makes it almost 26-27 year old.
a real record for anything that small IME.
