jaguar catfish? (from Monsterfishkeepers)

Was wondering since I have a couple of midnight or zamora cunchis catfish in one of my tanks thought that guy would be great though I would like to know what type of a species it is so I could get a couple more of those as its neat looking cat!



Rapps is selling it for 35$

he could not get a postitve ID from it as he tried his best, and said I could ask here for your help

It looks like a fish often imported as a Otorongo Driftwood catfish. How big is it?
Trachycorystes sp. perhaps.

Unfortunately, these are not listed in the Cat-ELog.

Great looking fish! I'm very jealous!
It looks very similar in body shape to

Liosomadoras oncinus

, but the markings are quite different.
Keep us informed if you decide to purchase this, and if it's not in the Catelog, I'm sure Jools would like some pictures...

I'm pretty sure it is Liosomadoras oncinus. Skinny and indeed with an uncommon colour pattern. I would need a better picture to see the postcleithral process, but overall shape and the huge pectoral spines will do as well.
The Otorongo is much more slender. It sits in the Clog as Trachelyopterus sp 2.
