new to the game
g'day all, i have had my 4 ft tank for 3 months now, it is my first, i have never kept fish. i have 3 cory's,1 yellow sucker,1 sucking catfish,1sailfin pleco,2 neons and my favourite king gorge the hyrtles tandan. it has been a steep learning curve over the last few months with a few casualties on the way. when i first got the tank the lady selling me the fish gave me a bum steer and my first tandan died,he was attacked by an oscar at my lfs and never recovered, and i only fed him meat, now i know that these catfish are omniverous. i have the tank at a managable stage and am getting so much enjoyment from it. any advice to further my new tank would be great, gorge &the pleco are my most important

Re: new to the game
I recommend that you provide artificial or natural caves out numbering your catfish. this will reduce infighting and provide refuge from large aggressive Cichlids.

Re: new to the game
Probably best to post a photo in the "ID my catfish" section - you'll get a much quicker answer that way than to try to find it yourself.

Without a photo I can only guess but I'm suspecting the "yellow sucker' is the gold variety of the common Chinese Algae Eater Gyrinocheilus aymonieri, andywoolloo wrote:hi! welcome! great site this one! what exactly are your yellow sucker and one sucking catfish?
