Problem updating "My cats info".
I can delete and add fish but I when I edit the information regarding the numbers of fish I have and any notes, the text remains unchanged when I go back to check whether the edits were successful or not.
It is possible to make the changes under edit; they just don't stick.

Larry,
I've just gone to my "my cats" page and made a few changes, they saved fine. Your issue may be with a specific species entry. From the start, can you please list exactly what you are cliking on, click by click and what you are typing in etc?
Thanks,
Jools

Re: Problem updating "My cats info".
Hi Jolls,
I began by clicking on my cats, then edit and delete species. Since I last tried to edit the fish I wanted to delete have been deleted. It just did not indicate the editing was successful but after going back in, I find the edits were successful.
Thanks,

Hi Larry,
I am not sure I follow you. Are you suggesting it would be a good idea that when deleting an entry that you get a confirmation about it?? (which seems sensible).

Re: Problem updating "My cats info".
Hi Jools,
Yes, I think it would be a good idea if it isn't difficult to implement.
My experience was analogous to when you have to restart your computer for a change like an update is downloaded and only goes into effect after the restart. I don't recall any confirmation that species I removed from "my cats" but that was several weeks ago so I really don't remember except it appeared to follow my edit commands but before closing out I still had the deleted species showing. I checked back a couple days later and the species I deleted had been removed successfully.
I just wish I still had some of the species I deleted from my cats.

Re: Problem updating "My cats info".
I think also there is some misunderstanding over the use of the remove function. It's intended for that purpose - to remove a species if you've added one in error.
If you sell a fish on, or it dies, then you should enter an end date to record that - otherwise if you remove it, then all data associated with it is "lost".

Also, there was a major rewrite of the image upload functionality today. It doesn't look any different to the end user, but it will be more reliable.
