I was hoping someone might be able to help me wif a wee problem I seem to be having wif my Big syno (also a new Medium one thats arrived wif the same condition)
The story before I saw he had it:
One of my other fish in my tank had died, and the body had got stuck in a 3ft Cave I have in the tank. Took out dead fish, removed all the Rocks, Fake Plants and Driftwood. Gravel Vac'ed the tank, removed 50% of the water, topped back up. Put back Driftwood (left out Rocks, Cave & Fake Plants)
About a week later I saw my Syno swimming along the front of the tank (belly to tank front) and saw these weird white patches under each fin. (see pix)
They got a wee bit worse (middle went pinkish) but no 'fluff' around or on the area.
Eating fine, swimming fine etc.
Removed him to a Quarinteen Tank and about 2 days later the white patches went 'greyish' in colour. Doesnt look as bad a before.
Also had a medium sized one turn up to my place wif the same thing, but smaller.
Moved him to the same tank as the other one, and is looking a bit better also.
No Meds put into the tank, juss cave and Bare-bottom tank. Same temp etc.
Big tank the big one came from is mine, small one from a friend. (friend said they didnt see these before) but it had them when it arrived.
Also has 2 big Decorus Syno's, and a Medium Spotted Brown Syno (along wif lots of other fish) Yet no one else in that tank has any issues?
There is also a biggish Angelic Syno in that tank also that came down wif the smaller Featherfin, that doesnt seem to have any probs either.
Now juss wondering where or how this could have happened, and wat I could do to help them (thou they are getting better so far, but anything to help them?) and if there is something I should do to the big tank my big one came from? (the tank is about 1000L)
All it seems to be is a irritation of some sort, as he is seen 'flicking' his fins.
