Hi there all,

I was wondering if someone could help me ID my Syno?

Here is a pix:

I thought something like 'Synodontis Ocellifer' or similar?

Hes prolly about 15+cm at the moment.

I don't think this is as the adipose fin is too small. It might be a hybrid.

looks like someone mixed ocellifer with notatus.
it's right in the middle when you look at coloration, bodyshape and especially the mouth.

Ah! See thats wat I thought too! I have owned a couple like this now, all different sizes, so I wonder if the LFS has been buying in Hybrids cause as far as I know, no one here in NZ breeds Synos.

I think so as most hybrids are AFAIK "manufactured" in Europe :irritated:
