My pair of ancistrus sp. pucullpa just spawned. The problem is that there may be an outbreak of ick in their tank (brought in with keyholes that I had quarantined, but apparently not long enough- the keyholes were moved out of the ancistrus tank when I found the eggs, but the keyholes developed ick spots within 12 hours after moving.)
The female ancistrus appears to have white/grey specs on her body- but they are small, faint and hard to see- the spots were much more pronounced on the keyholes. The male is still under the driftwood where the eggs were attached so I can’t examine him.
I am trying to figure out a way to treat/prevent this possible condition from spreading that does not put the spawn at risk.
Yesterday morning I added aquarisol and salt (1 TB/5 gallons). On the advice of another fishkeeper, I treated with IchX yesterday evening (the eggs had not hatched yet). This morning, the eggs have hatched and are now wiggling their way around the tank with their yolk sacs attached.
I’m not sure whether to continue with the a chemical treatment or to just raise the temperature and hope for the best. I’m tempted to raise the temperature since this species has a temperature range of 75-86F. Or, alternatively, I could move the fry to a separate tank and raise the temperature there, while continuing to treat the adults chemically.
Thanks for any advice.

Try to remove the fry to their own tank, then add the chemicla in with the adults and raise the temp.

I just put together a long post with all the information that was requested at the top of this forum. Unfortunately, I lost it. I'll retype it later, but I am going to go ahead and try to relocate the fry now.
