Did you know fantastic help is an anagram of Planet Catfish? This forum is for those of you with pictures of your catfish who are looking for help identifying them. There are many here to help and a firm ID is the first step towards keeping your catfish in the best conditions.
I can't identify either with any degree of confidence, or even say with certainty that they are different species.
The first fish has a very unusual caudal spot. All species with complete pigmentation band have the spot extend into the caudal fin, but in your fish it does not. Possibly an individual of a known species but with atypical pigmentation, or possibly a member of an undescribed species.
The second fish is a member of the Otocinclus vittatus-group, which comprises a number of very similar species, several of which show up in the trade. Best guess: vittatus, but it could also be e.g. mariae.
