Juwel Aquariums Available in the U.S.
I read an article recently that the Juwel aquarium line will soon be available here in the U.S. I don't know if anyone else is excited about this news, but I have been sick of seeing all those nice tanks and not having them available here.
What's your favorite Dressing~~

Living in Europe, it is easy to get a juwel tank, but I never did.
Firstly, the sizes are wrong: the tanks are higher then the width
Secondly, the glas is rather thin
Thirdly, although I have nothing against innerfiltration, Juwel has the filters far too small
Finally, if I want a tank, it never coincides with the Juwel length
Mine are all build on order.

I have two remaining Juwel tanks in my set of tanks. I do like my Rio400. The internal filter is by far the best of all internal filters bundled with tanks on the market, but of course, it doesn't beat a large external or sump-filter.
But I agree, having a custom built tank is the way to go - most "standard" tanks are too tall and not wide enough.

I agree with Dave - I've been to the second shop on that list - I can't quite say whether I visited the first one.
Buying online is all good, but there's nothing like having a live person to talk to and give you advice, looking at the product you are buying. And most of the time, you don't have to pay until you pick up the tank. There is a thread of horror tales in the Speak Easy about people who have spent quite a lot of money to an online business that went bust. If they are lucky, they will get a some of the money back, but it's unlikely. I know, that's not LIKELY, and if you pay in advance to a "offline" company without actually taking the product with you, you still won't be guaranteed to get what you paid for.
By all means shop around. But supporting the LFS will help them stay in business, and when you DESPERATELY need some medication or a new net because the old one ripped [and you HAVE to catch that fish before things go worse], a local shop is GREAT. If we all shop online for everything but emergency stuff, we won't have shops for emergency use.
In the end, it's your money and your decision.

Yes i totally agree with that and you know exactly what you are getting and see it first hand and defects but actually the lfs guy told me to check them out he said they have very very well built tanks and he said the guarantee them incase there is a break and your house floods....But i personally think the best place is craigslist i just recently bought a very nice 125 gallon with stand canister filter three lights and some other stuff for $350 shoot you couldnt even get the stand for that at a lfs
