Re: Ancistrus formoso
I think people also use the registered keepers feature to record catfish that they like, rather than catfish that they keep.

Re: Ancistrus formoso
I know that one of the blind Ancistrus made a short showing in the hobby during the early/mid 90's, but don't know which one. I didn't bother with them because of the lack of color and have kicked myself ever since. I don't know of anyone that made an effort to establish them in the hobby.

Re: Ancistrus formoso
Hi!
Lee had a breeding pair of Ancistrus cryptophtalmus but I think he lost them before he could establish it in the hobby... he wrote an article in the 90's in TFH about his experience with them...
A. cryptophtalmus is on the protected list on the IBAMA, while A. formoso is on the positive list, still one need a license to be able to catch them so it is pretty unlikely it will show up in the hobby anytime soon...
Cheers
