Plec attacks angel?

I have a dwarf (?) bristlenose plec about 3 years old who hasn't caused any problems and seems happy. I feel him well, but don't have much algae to offer him. My 5 apple snails and he, perhaps, keep this in check. Recently, I discovered one of my 4 year old angels has two deep, red, round holes on its cheek beside its eye. I don't think it's hole-in-the-head and can't imagine what could have done this other than my plec. Everyone says they are so docile, but I've seen him chase off other fish very aggresively. Could he have done this and should I take him back to the store? BTW, the angel seems OK other than these awful holes - eating, swimming, etc. OK.

A pic would help us give accurate info. There are many possibilities: diseases or physical injury.

Bristlenoses have been known to attempt to eat the body mucus of discus & i think angels too - how successful they are i'm not sure but it is a , i think, remote possibility the b/n is responsible - this is not definate but a pic would clue us up a bit more

I agree with Richard, a picture would definitely help.

Bristlenoses, especially males, can definitely have a bit of territorial behaviour - they commonly defend their cave from what it sees as intruders. But generally, they are nowhere near as bad as some other plecos, never mind for example cichlids - some cichlids particularly in breeding condition can be really fanatical about defending their chosen territory.
