hi
i tried a new fish shop this afternoon and got me a starlight bristlenose catfish 3"for £4.99 and a common 3.5" for £4.99 to add to my breeding colony. the common was supose to be £9.99 however the assitant said they were the same price at the check out. if she had looked at the front of the tank she would have seen the real price.
is this a good deal for the starlight its a good price for the common as i paid £7.50 for a male the other day the same price.
1 trio ov bristlenoses and 1 colony ov 7 2males 5 females and 2 starlights(1 male 1 female) next breeding project

£4.99 seems quite good but prices do flucuate regionally

Re: starlight and common brisltenose
Was that a genuine or one of the "other" black ones with white spots. Good price, indeed, but there are more than one "starlight" bristlenose. You can tell the genuine dolichopterus by the dorsal fin rays - it's got 11 or 12, rather than the usual 8.
