Nice collection
Your photos aren't so bad but keep taking them when you get the chance. Some of my best photos were just the luck of the draw, 19 bad ones and 1 great shot. If you're like me and have a bit of a shake, you could use one of those mini-tripods. I use one for outdoor pics or shots for my work. Also you could do a search to see how others are taking their pictures. Some use the macro setting, some people prefer using the built-in flash, others say not to?? Lots of different techniques!
The fish are beautiful though. Look forward to seeing more. Especially the leopard pleco, beautiful colour :)

Nice
We may focus on catfish but it's a nice treat to see other interesting critters. I hadn't seen a headstander before. Do they get very big? I'll have to look that one up. I hadn't seen an albino Red Oscar before either - that's quite beautiful compared to the regular ones.
Had a ropefish when I was a kid..poor thing, If I'd only known what to do with an aquarium...
I looked up your Erythrinus sp. Red and found a nice fish photo site as the first page on google so if you'd like to see some inspiration - wow. The photographer even says what settings he's using. I don't even know if my little Canon can do that but you can bet I'll be trying.
Here's the site, don't know if all the catfish names are correct or not - I'm still a newbie to catfish.

How many tanks have you got running? I think I can see two different tanks, the big pleco in one and a glass bottom one?

The Marbled Headstander only gets to 6 inches. Right now he is only 2 inches, and with very large fish that don't bother him at all, because he is a bit aggressive. (Fin nipper)
I am also using a Canon camera. Not the best camera....
I have many tanks with fish/reptiles in them right now. The one with the Common Pleco is a 55-Gallon (Cichlid Tank), and the other tank is a 60-Gallon (Oddball Tank).
I hope I don't get in any kind of trouble posting pics that are not Catfish. :|
This is my favorite species of fish. The Knife fish. I currently have five different species.
Pics!
Zebra Knife (Rare)

Centipede Knife (The fish that plays dead, he is OK)

Black Ghost Knife

Glass Knife (Baby)

E. humboldtii Knife (Very Rare, and related to the Glass Knife)

Never. :) You have catfish too and they'll always be the biggest deal around here. That little knife fish playing dead is pretty nice though...Kind of like some Synodontis playing dead - freaks people right out the first time they see it. First time I saw mine belly up under a leaf I just about fainted, then he swam away.. Now I know he likes to 'sleep' like that. Who do you have in with your various catfish?

My canon is a little Power Shot A520, quite useless for what I do now but it gets the job done for the occasional fish or plant picture by turning on the macro setting and using the flash but at an angle to the glass. I'm looking at a Fuji camera right now that has an image stabilizer and a better macro for bugs and spiders etc. I'm trying to record all the critters native to my area so I hope this camera works better - or I hope I learn it better. It's the second last model so it's almost always on sale. If I'm successful in getting it for a good price, I'll finally post some of my tank pictures.

Saw you posted a nice Rineloricaria - cool fish, like to burrow in sand. Are you going to get it maybe? My hubby called mine The Prehistoric Fish. Looks very reptilian when it's half out of the sand.

I couldn't make out the "Zebra Knife" but if it like your "Centipede Knife" it is part of the Carapo Knife Fish group which can be vicious fish.

The only really peaceful Headstander is Chilodus punctatus. They make great additions to peaceful planted tanks.

The Centipede Knife is not related to the Zebra Knife. The Centipede Knife is a peaceful fish, and can be put in community tanks. The Zebra Knife is aggressive, but not too bad. Nice Headstanders by the way.
I couldn't get any pics today. Camera died. Need to head to the store to get some more batteries.

Gymnotus spp fight each other like cats and dogs. You would get to see their amazing regeneration abilities should you ever try them mixed. I have had several Gymnotus spp. specimens and I would only keep them with larger fish well able to take care of themselves.
There are many Gymnotus spp and they are very difficult to tell apart by simple visual examination but they all are adept predators.
I usually kept them by themselves because they will kill or eat most fish small enough for them to catch. I have had a few that grew to 13 inches but sold them before they reached their full potential size.
I'm just sharing my experiences with them. You have several other Knifefish which are pretty peaceful and fun to keep. Even Black Ghosts are pretty hard to keep together without them constantly damaging each other. Glass Knifes are pretty good when kept in groups of their own kind compared to most SA Knifefish.
Anyway, you have a nice collection of Knifefish and other oddballs. There is a lot of fun to be had keeping Knifefish; they are rather intelligent fish
