Post by Fristeh »

As of this moment there is the following in my 125 gallon tank. ( 200 x 40 x 60 )
1 x Pterygoplichthys pardalis (20.5 cm)
2 x Pterygoplichthys joselimaianus (12 and 15 cm)
3 x Clown loach (10cm+ and 2x <5)
3 x Astronotus ocellatus ( 8 cm )

I want to add one more fish but i can't make up my mind in wich i should take.

or a lookalike variant ( L273 - L600 )
or

Hi
As am sure you know, the oscar is a messy feeder, and can be quite aggressive to it's tank mates. I think you have made a good selection to mix with your existing stock, but very much doubt you will find for sale, and you may also struggle getting hold of . Most of the other larger doras are just too big when adult for your tank. Though is very nocturnal, and you'd need to get good sized specimens (which are available once in a while), it is a possibility. I'd definitely recommend doras such as , if only because they shouldn't be bothered by the oscars. With regards the Pseudacanthicus, not really sure about availability, but they are good choices due to their nature. As with all cichlids, if the oscars ever pair up, anythign else in the tank will become a target for the pair to protect their eggs/fry, so you need to consider this as well.
