Cathorops spixii

Post by TP »

Cathorops Spixii has common name as L063 and therefore comes up also as L063 in L number list. Distribution also seems more likely to be for the real L063 (if there is a real L063) so I'm not sure if this has over written the L063 record or the template is copied from L063.

I'm not sure how it all links together so don't want to just remove things from the record. I hope this makes sense!

This happens because Jools re-uses old records for the Cat-eLog entries, and that data is dragged in from other tables, based on the species id-number, those items appear as part of the species record.

Jools has explained to me why he's doing this, and I'm not going to say that he's wrong. The alternative is to simply let the "removed" species id-number "get lost", which makes it quite hard to follow how many species there actually are in the database.
