Same fish, different names? Tatia sp2

Post by Marc van Arc »

I think that the 2nd & 3rd picture of resemble a lot.
Especially for Jools & Martin - as you both keep them as well - : any thoughts?

Marc
Have to say I'd agree - the initial image is very pale, but pics 2 and 3 look very similar, if not the same.
Good spot Marc

Marc,

The 2nd and 3rd pics I took and this was a fish caught in the llanos. The first pic was taken by Shane a year earlier but with fish caught from a similar location. Interestingly, these fish were caught in a similar place to . In fact, pic 11 was taken on the same day as sp(2) pics 2 and 3 and pic 13 was taken on the same day (a year earlier) as pic 1... Also, we have here a fish that has appeared in the trade the same time as T.sp(2) and from the same source, at least from memory, it's the same fish as I am currently keeping and gave to you.

So, I think we have an ID for T. sp. 2? What do you think? I am inclined to move all T. sp. 2.

Out of curiosity - what happens to registered keepers and such when you merge two entries?

Bad things (tm).

They stay with the species ID of the original species at present and I have to manually transfer them across. I need to code this and occurence data into the transfer admin scripts.

I have moved them into I am convinced these are the same species.
