Re: L-333 Porto Do Moz fry
My oldest L333 fry are about the same size. They began with brown and cream markings but now they are turning bright yellow and brown. Surprised me although I had no basis to expect anything in particular. The adults are pretty, yellow and brown, but not as brightly colored as their fry are at this stage. L333 are very prolific compared to some of the smaller species.
I have no idea where they were caught beyond knowing they are from the Rio Xingu system.

If you have a good profile pic and dorsal view pic of your fish, I can most likely tell you where it was collected.

Re: L-333 Porto Do Moz fry
I have never taken any photos of my L333. All I ever see are the tails of the adults and scads of fry running for cover when i walk up to their tank. If the adults are caught and placed in a photo tank they take on their stress colors which are ugly so I have never bothered. Maybe one of these days. I don't pay much attention to my Hypancistrus or Peckoltia tanks except to look for whether any fry have been released.
