FEEDING SKINNY L177 LFS PITY BUY

Post by crf50hugo »

First time on Planet Catfish. Well I went to my LFS and saw a gold nugget for sale. I see them before and realy never thought of gitting but when I saw its belly concave I felt sorry for it. I bought it knowing it could die on me the first day. Well the reason for writing is that it is eating zucchini and cucumber and want to know if there is anything else I could feed it fatten it up. Oh ya I got frozen prawns but it dosen't go for them. I hope I can get it better shape. Thanks for your help.

The best thing to do is to continue to provide cucumber and zuchinni all the time so it can eat its leisure while you're trying to fatten it up; this is how I feed my bristlenose fry. You can't make it eat any faster, but you can make sure there's food at all times for it to eat when it wants to. Beware, however, as you don't want the food to start decomposing and fouling up the tank, so you don't want to leave in any particular piece of vegetable too long.

Since it has started eating already, you are already well on your way. It's when they don't start eating that you have to worry.

Thanks, I'll keep food in there at all times. Some more good news after I posted this I saw it start eating the prawn. So far so good.

Hi crf50hugo,
Good catch and welcome to Planet Catfish :)
Racing, shoes and fish. Nothing else matters. Oh, and bacon.
