Mystus - ID this catfish

I can't find any clear match. FYI, this cat is abt 7-inch.

I saw that sp in the cat elog too but I am not certain.

I'm not certain either - i wonder how variable it is? I did see some labelled as this (or something similar) years ago but from recollection they weren't that much like the cat-e-log pic.

And also there seem to be sp appearing, different to stuff in cat-e-log but still the same sorta goldy-brown with or without a darker lateral line marking

Picked that guy up and he resides in his own tank with 3 M.triangularis for company now. Found him to be rather aggressive towards a few species and quite peaceful with some other Mystus Sp.

Also collected a few similar looking specimens from a recent field trip. Unfortunately Im not the photo clicking type at all. All I have are some horrific quality pics from by phone. WIll post 'em in a coupla hours.

yes, almost identical but the dorsal and tail seem diff in propotion. Do you reckon they are the same species ?

The dorsal looks considerably higher, the caudal much longer & the adipose much larger - i would be surprised if these were the same species - what sizes are the specimens we're discussing?
