very much so, yes

a few tips:

first: replace that awful substrate. it's a vacuumcleaner, sort of, and it likes to sift the substrate, wich should be sand or fine rounded gravel.

second: a few hiding places are a must; a big piece of wood or some larger PVC tubing tunnels or some ceramic thingy from a roof; the fish should be able to rest in a shady place. otherwise it gets stressed, might stop eating and then it'll die.

third; food, lots of it. best feed small amounts (not all in 1 go!), but several times a day, until it gets a bit heavier, then tune it down a bit.
all small stuff is good. sinking pellets (small ones, since it cannot chew), sinking granule food, small snails (it LOVES snails!), tubifex, bloodworms, flake food, artemia, mysis, blackworms etc.

You forgot number four: get a huge tank (or flood your apartment).

Unless you happen to own a zoo-size tank, try and get rid of this gift. This is an absolute tankbuster. There are very few people who can house a catfish the size of a three-year-old kid.
Cheers,
Tina
