introduction and question
Hello. My name is Bruce and I am new to this site and to raising catfish in particular Pleco's. Have raised, and still do, cichlids. My question is regarding feeding fresh veggies. Do you just put them in raw or do you blanch them first. If you do blanch, for how long. thank you

Re: introduction and question
The answer to your question is "yes" - yes, you do (sometimes) blanch them and yes, you can put (most kinds) in raw.
In general, for adult fish, raw is great. For babies, you may need to blanch until they are big enough to take the raw veg.
See the article on "feeding plecos" that is linked on the right of this post.

Re: introduction and question
And in my "excitement" of trying to give an answer, I rudely forgot to say "Welcome". A warm welcome to Planet Catfish, and this is a great place to learn. I didn't know much when I started out 5 and a bit years ago [I had to check that...]. There's still a lot of members here that have a lot more experience with Catfish than me...
