eating the right food...

I have a Synodontis hybrid, that lives with african cichlids, I recently switched the cichlids to Hikari Cichlid Staple, my catfish is now eating nothing but those pellets, he is ignoring his shrimp pellets, and waiting for the new food, is it ok for him to be eating only this food?

Yes, I'd say so.

However, I'd try feeding some meatier food at night (a while after lights off).
