Is the colour difference there in the real fish or just in the photo?

If they are really that different, I wouldn't keep them together for breeding purposes, but I can't say that they are definitely different species either.

Unless the first picture has a very strange perspective I don't think those two are the same. With the first one I'm not even sure whether this is a Leporacanthicus. The dorsoventral compression is too strong, imho.

The first looks very much like a Leporacanthicus when it comes to the mouth tho', so it's probably a bit of odd perspective involved there.

The second fish looks like it COULD be , but I don't think it actually is.

They are a bit different in color, and of course they will not go together, just youngsters yet :D

They are both Leporacanthicus for sure. Look at the horn on the top/back of the head.
When it comes to the exact L-number I am unsure. I had a close look at them in the shop where they were labelled as L240.
I believe the exact number of the fish will be easier to see in a year, when they have grown some more. When I studied them in the shop I was thinking L007, but now I believe they are all L240s.

Very nice L240s. I am sorry I told you that they looked like L007s a month ago. As they all are from the same batch from the shop there could be L241s too in there. How many did you buy?

Some of these are L241 and some are L240!

They can cross breed so keep the separate!
