Albino Bristlenose Babies Leaving the Cave Early?

Post by Patr1ck »

I recently had a spawn of some albino bristlenoses and after 2 days, 4 of the babies were out of the cave and bumbling around the tank. After 2 more days they disappeared one by one. Could they have made it back into the cave, or was there some reason that they were kicked out of the cave in the first place? The only inhabitants of the tank are 1 male and 3 female bristlenoses and the babies. I never saw any dead ones in the tank either. :?

Thanks,
Patrick

If they die when they are that small, they usually disappear as the mum/dad finds it a nice snack...

And yes, it sometimes happens that there are "accidents" with the fry.
