Hello from Sheffield

Post by JamieH »

Hi Just a welcome note,

Im 36 years of age called Jamie living outside Sheffield in a small village and have been keeping fish for around 20 years a member of our local aquarist society. the Catfish Study Group and the BCA the clubs part of the hobby is important for me to bring new people into the hobby.

Ive updated the "my cats" section so you know the cats im keeping in addition to a collection of cichlids and livebearers (just cant stick to one family of fishes) I am currently running a fish house that has 30 tanks (+ small breeding tanks for livebearers) four of the largest are 7 foot the smallest being 24 x 12 x 24 (LxHxW) with another fish house currently in construction to hold two tanks which are 9foot 10 x 36x 36" which will house some of the larger cats I own as these grow larger.

Based in Sheffield im idealy placed for trips to Pier, Wharf and Fish inc This month I finally bit the bullet and got the Clupissoma prateri from Pier that I have been looking at since they first come in. Now back home in a 7 foot tank they look even more stunning than before.

Hope to become a regular and post where I can and get to know a few of you in the process.

Regards

Jamie

Welcome.

If you have the time, why not pop over to Pier on the 28th - we're having a micro-planetcatfish meetup. (Actually, I think it's a "regular size" PC meetup, as far as I know, aside from conferences like Catfish Study Group, US Catfish convention and International L-number days, I don't think more than about three PC members have been seen in the same place - at least not in the UK).

There is a post about that in this "Speak Easy" forum.

Thanks for the invite MatsP we are going to Pier on the 29th as one of the lads has to take his daughter to a concert on the Monday night so it would cut it fine, next time though not a problem any excuse for a trip to wigan.
