small pl*cos

what ones stay small besides the bristle-nose? perferably not carnivors... thansk!

peckoltia and panaqolus seem to be omnivores, and tend to stay under 5 inches, some much smaller.

hypancistrus are quite small also :)
Too many gorgeous loricariids
So hard to obtain! Grrr....

Methinks that means preferably not carnivores, which is going to rule out most hypancistrus, no?

Hi,
Zonancistrus also stay small at around 4" inch.

Try to get Hypoptopoma sp!

wonderful fish, very peaceful, extremely good algae eater, but a bit fragile.

They look like a giant green Otocinclus with a flat head.

Another smaller "Pleco"I really like is
Sturisomatichthys leightoni. Very beautiful too, and it reaches only half the size of most true Sturisoma.

saw wildcaught adults of those two species, and of Rhineloricaria lanceolata (or a very similar fish). If you like hairy fish, this one will do fine!
Plan B should not automatically be twice as much explosives as Plan A
