Hito taytayensis

Post by TP »

I think that Hito taytayensis (in Siluridae) is now a synonym of Pterocryptis taytayensis. This is from looking at fishbase and the Ferraris checklist. Does this mean the cat-elog entry should be renamed?

Aha, welcome to my world.

I'd maybe check with Silurus first, other than that it's looking at when it was changed and what usage has been made since. I guess if it's in Ferraris then it's OK.

Catalog of fishes also follow this, so I would say it should be renamed.

Yup, done. Maybe Marc or someone could add the synonym?
