Hi,
Recently joined and noticed, while using Chrome to make a donation, I could not get it secure for the Paypal login with the banner. Same issue with IE8 but it let me block the banner for a secure login. Thought it might put some people off if they did not realize what was causing it.

Yes, that's true it's not secure - but then it's a login page. It's a tricky one - I mean, the thing that makes it not show the little security padlock icon is the fact the planetcatfish.com logo is shown. If I take that off then you get a rather bland page with no clear link to the site.
Personally I think the logo being present at that stage is more reassuring than the padlock.
I track people who cancel from that page and I've not seen one (using back doesn't count).
