Post by harsher »

i caught many catfish at the beach... currently i have 38 of them..... its still small... upper part of it is quite dark but lower part of it is silver, has kinda big stomach

my digital cam is not with me so i cant take a pic of it... will go to the beach to catch somemore :)

its saltwater catfish..

btw my location is borneo island.

i've try to search from the pictures in the website but cant find any matching my catfish from ASIA region, but it looks quite similar to those... what is the name already... arius sxxxx n found in the US river if not mistaken.. i will have a look at the pics again and post somemore info on it...

[EDIT]
i think found the ID of my catfish already..... its M. Castaneus

it is strange coz from the info, it says this fish is freshwater but i caught it at the beach.... alot of it......

I don't think you have M. castaneus (which isn't really silvery). Without any pics, I am guessing that you either have M. gulio, M. wolffii or an ariid (Arius or maybe Ketengus).
