Bambi Torre

Post by Redtailrob »

Hi all.

I have potentially been offered a 15cm "Bambi Torre" but cant find a definative answer on what it is ? :?:
This is the local (Peru) name for this fish but that means very little to me.

I'm lead to believe it could be either Zungaro Zungaro Or Pseudopimlodus?
Hwever I'm aware that Zungaro Zungaro is a local name (Peru) for pretty much any BIG local cat.
So could be a P.Lutkeni or a Bumblebee Cat - Big difference in its requirements if I pay for it and it turns out to be the former :o :o

Want to be sure of what it is before I do / or don't purchase.
No pictures I'm afraid as its on an import list.

do indeed grow VERY large.

is another potential candidate under this common name.

You could simply ask if it's got spots, I suppose...

Hmmm, ... hopefully a case of a good thing that is worth waiting for.
