Florida flag fish
Do any of you folks know any thing about the nesting of Jordanella floridae .I have a mated pare and the larger of the two has taken to gaurding one corner of the tank like a pitbull .I can see no nest I have found very little on the web about these little guys ,they are about 11/8 inches long.

Re: Florida flag fish
Hi,
they lay their eggs in between plants and on the substrate. the male protects the eggs and the female needs to be removed from this tank, because the male might just kill her!
good luck with that!

Re: Florida flag fish
Is the male the larger of the two ? The large one is guarding the nest and today they are rubbing together over the nest site.
